THE NEW ECONOMY

Someone who talks about sales and not website marketing - brilliant stuff here. Contrary to the article, I think that hard selling can occasionally be very good tool, just remember to use it seldom and to very selected group of prospects.

INTEGRATED ROI

Steven Leung submitted an article about lead generation, specifically about turning the site visitor into an online lead. I have a hunch that Steven has something to do with the Digerati Life submission - if so, I can’t but congratulate the man for being very industrious.

Back to the article already, eh? It follows the familiar path of current new age social media marketing, in which the traditional media is going down the drain and the conversationalist new media will grab the pot. However there are interesting nuggets of information about how visitors validate the information.

DIGERATI LIFE

What would you think if someone offered you an article that was originally published in 2007? The very first question that jumps into my mind is why they haven’t been posting anything new since then. As it happens, they have been posting plenty. Why this archane post is so important then? I can’t tell for sure, but I suppose it has been machined as part of manual link building campaign. But I don’t mind, I’m going to run it anyway, just remember to substitute house with product and realtor with salesperson.

BOB MARKETING

Why is it that someone would reinvent the hovering pop-up that springs into action when you visit the page? I bet it is because the young generation doesn’t remember them and therefore it momentarily works again. I have to start using it too. Bob writes about importance of luring website visitor to do an action.

SPAMMERS

There are always spammers, now one dude submitted 6 articles without any cover letter. Also sure give away is the use of number string in the email address. Tiring…

Thanks for such interesting commentary on my post. The reason I participate in carnivals is because I have fun with them as both host and participant. I could go the route of removing dates on my posts, but I try to write articles that may stand the test of time and could still be applicable no matter what year it is.

To be honest, I also have an insane attachment to all the posts I do, which I spend an inordinate amount of time working on, and well, by sharing it with others (regardless of when I write it) I find myself fulfilled. :) So thank you for giving my post and my site this mention! I very much appreciate it.

I find it fascinating that there seem to be so many interests on your site. How on earth you keep up with all that?
You just have to pardon my peculiar commentary, I find online writing strangely invigorating and the more I control my writing the less I write. So that was my momentarily impression of your site. You know the next time it will be better, eh?
It had stood the test of time very well that was the main reason for me to publish it. Much nicer than just about any current news commentary post that especially social media (anyone heard of Twitter) is full of. If we only wait for few weeks it will be very difficult to connect those tweets to anything.
To me it looks like Twitter is an engineered drug for information junkies and benefits go to pushers while junkies just get their fix. How did I end up here? Where all the time went? Now we can numb our senses even more efficiently.

I like your open approach in asking for link, what product do you promote? If it is related to finance I can review it

Already they rewrite classic books as one tweet. Paintings could have the same treatment. A manly woman in a bad dress staring at you with a strange but faint smile on her face. Can you guess what painting this is? With Twitter culture becomes so much easier to digest.

I have no products to sell, not yet. Maybe someone will suggest me something suitable to go with sales niche especially something related to personal and face-to-face selling. So, thanks for the offer, but I don’t have anything for you to review.
But let me make you an offer you can’t refuse. Do me and I’ll do you… website review I mean…

Hi Jake, I wish I could take credit for being that industrious but I don’t have anything to do with the other submissions. Thanks for the authenticity, you’re in my RSS reader from now on.

    Hi Steve,
Thanks for dropping by. Well, I just make my own hasty conclusions based on submission times and places where they come from. Sorry about that, just immediately calling them as I see them without much thought. You have pretty good stuff on your site, I especially liked the posts in lead generation and prospect conversion categories.
