This series is dedicated to all bloggers who want to learn selling. Series aims to teach you some simple sales tricks that you can use to make your blog pay you some salary and not only respect. Posts are constructed so that first you’ll have a short theory part (not your average school book theory) followed by more concrete tips on how to use the method in your blog.

WHAT IS SALES?
Sales is extremely hard to do but it remains the most important revenue generating aspect of any company and for this reason traditional businesses reserve those best paying positions for sales people. Sales is the jump between your head and your taking-money-out-of-my-wallet-hand. Something happens between don’t buy and buy and that is not only marketing and advertising for the most part it is sales that does the heavy lifting. All those marketing plans and advertising try to turn market sentiment favorable for sales, but sales point is the level where it has to be done no matter how good or bad the marketing and advertising part was.

SO WHAT? ASKED A BLOGGER
Bloggers focus heavily on content creation and lightly on marketing. Copywriting is almost non-existent skill among these semi-professional writers (can you believe that), but strangely, near to none knows anything about sales. This is the current situation, I believe, because sales seems to involve only real businesses and telemarketing people, who wants any of that! Not bloggers, no!

You are probably leaving a lot of money on the table, if you have no clue about sales. You will think that you should wait until contacted and in the mean time run some network ads. Chances are that you’ll have to wait for a long time. That will further side track you to some obscure trickle income stream, but sales is how you can jump the boat and cruise on a river.
