Every salesperson has that dreaded nemesis prospect that for some reason is impossible to deal with. Some of us don’t like engineers as prospects, some of us don’t like old people and some of us have difficulties to sell manager level people.

My Achilles heel are beautiful women. I like women and apparently I want to please them to a degree that I give them more than what I should. Who is your nightmare prospect?

lol..love the caption underneath the picture..

But how do you know if it’s an attractive woman at the end of a phone…do you have the heightened senses of Ray Charles–seeing a woman’s attractiveness by the thickness of her wrist, the timbre of her voice?

True, phone doesn’t carry the image as well as it does carry the voice (bit of an understatement, eh?). However, we do create and place characteristics on people based on even the most limited information.
We do this to make it easier for ourselves to tap into behavioral patterns that we have learned throughout our lives. A deep male voice will make you project a certain image for that person and high pitched male voice will make you think differently.
Writing works in similar manner. We create the personality based on the information that is in our disposal. In real life this image is usually different from what we have thought.
Nowadays my products are so expensive that they justify face to face sales, which leaves very little for imagination. Luckily my special interest towards women usually translates into a rich rapport…
