Oh yes, that's the best part. Pointing to the miraculous power of affiliate or network marketing systems. Soon there shall be tens of thousands of people working super hard for you. That's a sure way to make money when you have floods of traffic.
Once again, if you start money making with blogs from square one the traffic that you get will be enough to earn you cup of coffee every few weeks. Affiliate program or not there is no way for small potato to make money in internet. This is especially true if your strategy is to affiliate market your way to success by blogging about affiliate offers.

I agree with you but you forgot to say make sure it has an affiliate program. That way when you blog about it you make money from people signing up through your affiliate link.

I suppose that the more you get feedback the more you'll find that voice. In the beginning it is all about writing to yourself and nothing can remain the same under public opinions. So the moment you start to get feedback that will have some affect on your writing. Third piece of the puzzle is time as one tends to get better in what they are doing. I'm definitely going to follow your feed to observe that development.

Yea I test different ways to make money online. Some of them are not on my blog... :)
But, this is the real purpose of my blog, I guess.. journal my tumbling through the internet trying to make money. Took me some time to find my voice though, I'm still not that focused, but more than I was during the first year...

Seems to me that most make money online bloggers are raking in majority of their earnings with under radar projects. For example most of the time PPC-based marketing is basically traffic management and if anybody finds what you are doing then you can say goodbye to your money making niche.
Make money blogs are mostly used as marketing and branding tools. They provide low-cost channel for traffic and a method to control external image.
Naturally there are bloggers who are not overly concerned with spilling out the secrets to their success, but in those cases the success is based on solid products like well-established hobby and entertainment sites or widely used internet tools.
To me the funny thing is that so many people type their comments and demand to know what would be a good idea to earn money. When the answer comes to first learn to code and then build a site that gives value... well, people don't take it too well.
I believe that people then make the miscalculation that PR blog is the real key to success and they start copying the site and promote affiliate programs, advertising networks, you name it. The problem is that even at their best they are just copying something that they read somewhere in the net. Their make money blog therefore remains a monotonic repetition of offers and recycled news.
We need those shortsighted people, because they are those small streams, which turn into revenue rivers for us who know something about something.
I suppose that - Alex - you also face this situation. You try and test and make money in various methods and then blog about those results on your site.

oh yea. I like that one.

I think most people try to make the opposite without realizing that the "successful bloggers" made their money elsewhere.
