Recession, financial crisis, downturn and bailout; everybody loves to write and talk about these things. But apart from having easy topic to vent about, how could we benefit from it? By writing about bad times we get attention, but very few businesses want to label themselves with negative issues or feelings. You have already noticed this by checking your latest Google check.

There are many ways how blogs are influenced - or frankly - destroyed by the on coming recession. The single most important is the fact that most blogs are driven purely by the revenue from various advertising networks.

Given the following facts that negative press isn’t invitation for paid advertising and during recession advertising budgets get cut, we have a situation where most blogs see their revenue stream run dry.
