Weekly action summary 7
Sunday, March 1, 2009 15:47
More and more came in through the gates. Huge traffic numbers set perfect conditions for business, poor buyers, however, limited services that were offered, but rest assured Chicago will always have beer.
This week’s summary is a tad more exciting than normally, because I got to check up my traffic numbers. If you wonder why I allow this wonderful opportunity for improvement only once a month… Well I must confess that I have an addiction to numbers and if I wouldn’t limit myself I would be probably wasting time to checking the numbers every other hour.
GOOD NEWS
In the eyes of my visitors I am becoming a real target to land into. All the crucial numbers are inching up in a positive manner. I get more traffic that bounces less and stays longer obviously they are getting something out of my writing.
DEFINITION FOR INSANITY
Traffic development is rather ok if measured in relative terms, I got about four hundred visits during the month of February. Biggest challenge will be to scale the operation with constant input of work hours. In practice I must find a way to attract attention, which will then amplify my efforts. I am 100% sure that if I just keep on writing articles in the same manner as before, the traffic to this website will plateau somewhere between 1000 and 2000 monthly visitors. Anyway I’m aiming higher, so something must change along the way.
SLOW CONTENT DEVELOPMENT
Thank goodness my Technorati Test is now on side track. It was taking too much time, but finally I pulled it through. I have been able to start writing my own content instead of link referrals to other blog posts. Results show on the site already and some carnivals will be in the works for the near future. Article marketing will also see the first light on the coming week. I am also planning to submit the blog to few more directories to get some extra links. For my own product, the first draft is now ready, but I suppose it does need lots of editing and photos to pump up the production value. As a final attempt to develop my tool box, I am writing a post, which I plan to submit as a guest post.
