It is again time to make those grand promises for the year 2009. I’m bit late because my absence from online world, but here they are:

1. Study Chinese
2. Follow and execute Allan Gardyne’s - Tiny steps to success - training

DEDICATION

It is one thing to promise to do something and completely another thing to do it. Dedication is a key to success in long term. Every day I have to do something towards keeping my promises.

MEASUREMENT
Perhaps the most important ingredient of keeping promises is to track the progress. If you promise to quit smoking you have very clear cut line, which not to cross. If we promise to live more healthy life, well that is already difficult to measure and therefore easy to lose track and ultimately forget.

HOW DO I MEASURE MY RESOLUTIONS?
My Chinese goal is to know 500 words by the end of the year (currently about 350 days left), so that translates into roughly 2 words per day. “Tiny steps to success” goal I have set lower than what Allan does in his original outline. I am aiming for incremental revenue improvements of 5 cents per day and after those 350 days I should be getting 17 and half dollars per day, which translates into approximately 525 dollars per month.
